ADOPT-A-CANDIDATE

Virginia District 7 Wayne Powell (defeat Cantor)

Wisconsin District 1 Rob Zerban (defeat Ryan)

Minnesota District 6 Jim Graves (defeat Bachman)

Senate Seat Virginia Tim Kaine (defeat Allen)

#1) VIRGINIA  DISTRICT  7

REPUBLICAN HELD SEAT FOR VIRGINIA OF ERIC CANTOR

DEMOCRATIC CHALLENGER CANDIDATE: WAYNE POWELL

CANDIDATE: WAYNE POWELL

Wayne Powell is an important candidate for a number of reasons.

  •   Powell has taken on the job of  challenging  one of the most powerful Republicans in the House Of Representatives, Eric Cantor. Feeling the pressure of low poll numbers the big money Super PAC has cranked into high gear in support of Cantor and have announced  huge contributions in PAC  money. Powell needs you to help him overcome these huge donations.
  •  Powell has the kind of background that many swing voters will find attractive. He is former military and  has high ethical and moral standards.
  •   Powell doesn’t appear in any of the  DCCC target lists that aim to re-capture  the House for Democrats so his candidacy doesn’t  get any funding or strategy help from the Democratic party.
  • The District's race and voter  turn-out will  influence both the  Critical State-wide Senate  race and the  Presidential race in the important  swing state of Virginia. High voter  turn-out for Powell will have wide reaching effect. This is a very important  race  and Wayne needs help to combat the  big PAC  funds  flowing into the  Cantor campaign from his wealthy supporters.
  • AND MOST IMPORTANT: He will make  rebuilding the Middle Class his  top  priority. Instead of continuing the obstructionist games that Eric Cantor has made the hallmark of his tenure in Congress Wayne will work to put the Middle Class back to work and support policies that  end welfare to corporations.e my

#2) WISCONSIN DISTRICT 1

REPUBLICAN  HELD SEAT  FOR WISCONSIN  OF  PAUL RYAN

DEMOCRATIC CHALLENGER CANDIDATE: ROB ZERBAN

CANDIDATE : ROB ZERBAN took on  Paul Ryan when everyone said there was not a chance to beat him. He is making believers  out of previous skeptics and has mounted a powerful challenge to Ryan . With support this could be  an important victory for average citizens.

  • Rob  is competing against the  darling of the Tea Party and a powerful and Influential Republican  Paul Ryan. Ryan gets huge PAC donations from wealthy donors and  corporations who are desperate to keep their  cheerleader in his powerful position. Ryan's now also a candidate for VP on the Romney/Ryan ticket- but he is still a candidate for his incumbent Congressional seat. Hopefully his double candidacy will not be popular with Wisconsin voters and Ryan will be defeated in both of the races he is a candidate for.
  • The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) shows this as an Emerging  race  with some building enthusiasm that there is a chance for Zerban to win the race. He has  some but limited support from the DCCC.
  • A Democratic  turn-out for Zerban would hopefully have some pull  through support for  the Democratic  Senate race for Tammy Baldwin who is fighting a  tough up-hill battle  against former Governor and Republican candidate Tommy Thompson.
  • MOST IMPORTANT: Zerban’s  primary goal in congress is to restore the  Middle Class, protect students  and  teachers and move this  country forward instead of letting the gridlock Ryan’s policies have created continue to control our government.

#3) MINNESOTA DISTRICT 6

REPUBLICAN HELD SEAT FOR MINNESOTA OF MICHELE BACHMAN

DEMOCRATIC CHALLENGER CANDIDATE: JIM GRAVES

This is a  very strong Republican District  and until this  election there have been few reasons to think there was a chance  to unseat the very popular  Ms. Bachman. But 2012 is a very different story. Ms. Bachman's  presidential  race  hurt her  standings in her district.  Her poll  numbers are  low  and there is a real chance for a good candidate like Jim Graves  to take  this  very visible Republican seat.

Jim deserves  your  support  for  reasons beyond the fact  that he would end the reign of the very outspoken and misspoken Ms. Bachman.

  • Even though this is a very visible seat and very winnable for the Democrats they have not included  Mr. Graves in any of their Red to Blue  programs. Jim  has been on his own when it comes to raising funds for this race and he would appreciate you  assistance.
  •  Bachman's recent high profile international  slips have created a  crack in her base and Jim Graves is the kind of candidate who can bridge independents and turn this seat from the obstructionist Bachman to  a candidate who will work to move government forward to serve the people.
  • Jim is a  candidate who has built a great candidacy to oppose Bachman when previously she was considered untouchable. He has made changing this stronghold of wealth and corporate money to a seat of the people a possibility.

Below are some links to support Jim in his fight to replace Michele Bachman.

#4) VIRGINIA SENATE RACE

INCUMBENT SENATOR JIM WEBB IS NOT RUNNING FOR A 2ND TERM AND THE SEAT IS OPEN.

REPUBLICAN NOMINEE GEORGE ALLEN IS WELL KNOWN TO VIRGINIA VOTERS SINCE HE WAS VIRGINIA GOVERNOR, AND HE WAS A SENATE CANDIDATE IN 2006 AND LOST TO JIM WEBB.

DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE: TIM KAINE
